What information and why?
Horst IT Consultancy processes the name, email address and message submitted through the contact form to answer the enquiry and discuss a potential engagement. Include only relevant information; do not send passwords or sensitive personal information. The fields are required to handle the enquiry. Submitting an enquiry does not result in a marketing subscription.
Legal basis
For enquiries about a potential engagement, processing supports steps taken at the request of the applicant before entering into a contract. For other enquiries and website security, Horst IT Consultancy relies on its legitimate interest in remaining accessible and preventing abuse. Processing is limited to the information needed for these purposes.
Security and service providers
Cloudflare provides hosting and Turnstile spam protection, processing technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and verification data. Resend delivers messages to the business mailbox. The email provider processes messages for receipt and storage. The website has no contact-enquiry database. The application code does not log message content.
Processing outside Europe
Cloudflare and Resend operate internationally, and information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Selecting a European sending region does not mean all processing takes place in Europe. Their data protection terms describe applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses. Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for no more than 12 months after the last contact. Where an engagement follows, necessary correspondence is retained for its delivery and the associated legal obligations. Service providers also apply their own retention periods for technical logs and message processing. Their current terms are available through the links below.
Cookies and local storage
This website uses no advertising trackers or analytics. The light or dark theme preference is stored locally in the browser under the name “theme”. Clearing the website data in the browser removes this preference. Turnstile processes technical information to detect automated abuse, as explained in Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy notice.
Privacy rights and contact
Requests for access, correction or deletion of personal information can be submitted through the contact form. Depending on the circumstances, restriction, portability or an objection to processing based on legitimate interests may also be possible. Horst IT Consultancy normally responds within one month. Additional information is requested only where necessary to verify identity. Complaints can be lodged with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
